Just a family trip to the Elephant Sanctuary in Bela Bela in the Limpopo province. A few days prior to this photo shoot, these amazing animals were used to track down a group of hikers who had been lost for 5 days. With the assistance of the elephants, they were found in a matter of hours.
All money collected for the elephant interaction part that the sanctuary offers goes to the upkeep of the elephants as well as the funding their research.
This little guy just happens to be a meerkat that was rescued by the owners of the sanctuary,
who have adopted him as a pet.
